Congrats are in order

My dad just finished competing in the national mechanics competition and he took 5th place in the nation!! I am so proud of him! The competition was held in Raleigh, NC. His company sent him along with my mom for the week.

In order to even qualify, he had to win his state competition. While we weren't able to go to the national one, Joe and I did go to the state one to cheer him on and it was INTENSE!

I know he studied really hard for this competition and I am glad that my mom was able to be there for it as well. As an added bonus, it was in NC so they were able to drive up and are spending the rest of the week with Shaun and Jen.

Since we weren't at the national one, we don't have any pics but here are are some of them from his state competition. Way to go dad!
